7,200-plus attend first day of RK3DE

Dressage fans braving chilly but sunny weather are rewarded with a stunning Dressage test by Michael Jung.

More than 7,200 fans headed out to the Kentucky Horse Park today to enjoy the first day of Dressage competition at the 2015 Kentucky Three-Day Event. Though the weather was chilly, the competition heated up quickly, with reigning Olympic Champion Michael Jung (GER) turning in a stunning test to take the early lead.

The results at the end of this first day of competition are:

1. FISCHERROCANA FST (10) / Michael Jung (GER)
2. ANTHONY PATCH (14)  / Laine Ashker (USA)
3. FERNHILL FUGITIVE (4) / Phillip Dutton (USA)
