“We are excited about this opportunity to partner with EEI as the presenting sponsor of the 2019 Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix that enhances the experience of world-class equestrian competition in conjunction with the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event at the Kentucky Horse Park,” said Dr. Kevin Pfiester of Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. “It is fitting for our practice to play a role in our community as it hosts the best of equestrian athletes and their riders, assembled from around the world on the ‘Best Weekend All Year’ here in the Bluegrass.”
“Hagyard Equine Medical Institute is a pillar of excellence in equine care and we could not be more thrilled to have them as part of the 2019 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event,” said Stewart Perry, president of Equestrian Events, Inc., organizer of both the Grand Prix and the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event. “This renowned organization’s support of high-caliber equestrian competition and horsemanship is a testament to the strong equine community ties that Hagyard and EEI take pride in.”
Last year’s inaugural Kentucky CSI3* Invitational saw a breathtaking win by Santiago Lambre of Mexico in front of more than 10,000 enthusiastic spectators who packed the stands of Rolex Stadium. “I only remember something like this when I was last in Aachen 20 years ago,” Lambre marveled. “It really was one of the most amazing crowds I have ever seen!”
Stadium seating tickets for the Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute are only $5 each – with $1 going to the Land Rover Kentucky’s 2019 Official Charity, Bluegrass Land Conservancy. As part of the competition, there will also be a $36,000 Welcome Speed Cup / Ranking Class on Friday in the Rolex Stadium, after the day’s LRK3DE dressage competition. No stadium seat ticket is required for Friday’s Ranking Class. More information on the Grand Prix is available here.
Now in its 41st year, the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event is a thrilling competition featuring Olympic-level riders and horses from across the nation and around the world in what can best be described as an equestrian triathlon. Known as “The Best Weekend All Year,” LRK3DE is a multi-day highly competitive event in which the world’s best horses and riders vie for their share of $400,000 in prize money, as well as a shot at the $350,000 Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing, which is awarded to any rider who wins the Land Rover Kentucky, Mitsubishi Motors Badminton and Land Rover Burghley Five Star Events in succession.
LRK3DE recently received the pinnacle Five Star status from the FEI after having been a Four Star event since 1998. As of January 1, 2019, it is now one of only six annual Five Star three-day events in the world along with Badminton and Burghley in England; Luhmuhlen in Germany; Pau in France; and Adelaide in Australia. LRK3DE is the only annual Five Star event in the Americas and as the United States’ premier event, it also serves as the Land Rover/USEF National CCI5*-L Championship for the American riders.
Tickets for the 2019 Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute are just $5 with $1 going to the 2019 LRK3DE official charity, and hospitality options are available. Grand Prix tickets are available here.
Tickets to the 2019 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event are available here. All grounds admission tickets to the LRK3DE include general parking and admission to the Kentucky Horse Park and International Trade Fair, but do not include seats for the competition in Rolex Stadium.
