About Andrew Bennie
Andrew, originally from New Zealand, competed Internationally in Eventing and twice represented New Zealand at Olympic level, 1984 Los Angeles and Seoul 1988 helping the NZ Team win Team Bronze. Has been based in the UK since 1984 and produced several horses from novice through to advanced and 5* level. Currently based in Stone, Staffordshire and still competes in Dressage to a good level.
Andrew is a British Eventing Accredited coach, Fellow of the British Horse Society and coaches riders in several countries in all disciplines. As a British Dressage list 1 judge, regularly judges up to GP level at local, regional and National Dressage championships in the UK.
He became an FEI event judge in 2008 and feels very fortunate to have been invited to judge at most of the world’s top events including 5* events, Some of the biggest Championships, the YR and Junior European Championships and the European Senior Eventing Championships at Blair Castle 2014 and Avenches 2021, Rio Olympics 2016, WEG in Tryon 2018.
He was a member of the FEI Eventing committee 2019-2023. Andrew and is very much looking forward to returning to Officiate at this years Kentucky Three-Day Event!
