About Bea di Grazia

Bea di Grazia has deep roots in the eventing world. Her family all competed at the Advanced level--often riding their homebred horses. They organized horse trials at their farm for over 20 years.

Early on in her riding career she had success in the pony hunters. At 16 she earned her A rating in Pony Club. At 18 years old she successfully completed Badminton Horse Trials. Bea soon returned to Europe for an extended stay. In a span of 13 months she completed four 5* events, (at that time it was a full phase 4*) plus all the lead up competitions, on her one horse, an American off the track Thoroughbred named County Frost.

Bea married Derek diGrazia in 1981. They have two sons, Ben and Perkin. In 1984 they set up an equestrian training business in California. For many years Bea and Derek coached numerous Young Rider teams for Championships while competing at the upper levels themselves. Along the way Bea has had many students, two of which she trained through the levels ultimately reaching their goal of competing in eventing at the Olympic Games.

Bea has since become an eventing judge and has concentrated on developing her dressage skills, earning bronze, silver, and gold USDF medals.
