About Equestrian Events, Inc.

Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI) is a non-profit, charitable organization that supports the development of riders and horses in one or more of the sports recognized by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI). Through the staging of an annual event at the highest level, EEI seeks to ensure the competitiveness of the United States in international competition, and to enhance the equine industry worldwide.

EEI annually makes contributions to charities (both equine and non-equine) to support the mission and work of those organizations. Donations are awarded each year to organizations that fall into one of the following areas of emphasis:

· Equine
· Health, Wellness, and Safety
· Land Conservation
· Youth Services

Programs selected by EEI must not discriminate based on race, sex, religion, color, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity.

To be eligible to be a grant recipient, organizations must supply the following information:

· Application
· Most recent 990
· Any additional materials that will help the committee better understand your organization’s mission.

EEI’s charitable giving contributions depend on the annual net proceeds from the Defender Kentucky 3-Day Event. Typical donation amounts range from $500 to $10,000. The organizations selected and the amount donated is at the sole discretion of the EEI Board of Directors and is subject to review and change annually.
