Christian Steiner lives with his wife Claudia, also a judge and rider, in Austria, nearby Salzburg. Christian has competed for almost for 30 years in Dressage, Showjumping and international Eventing on self trained horses. Besides his job as managing director and management consultant he is a national Showjumping and Dressage judge as well as an FEI Eventing Level 4 Judge and FEI Eventing Level 3 Technical Delegate.  

Christian officiates nearly 20 competitions annually all around the world. He judged the WEGs in Pratoni 2022, European Championships in Avenches 2021, World Championships Young Horses, Europeans for Young Riders and Ponies, FEI Asian Games, CCI5* Kentucky and Badminton 2024 as well as  Burghley and Adelaide in 2023. Christian has also officated at Marbach, Melbourne, Temecula, Boekelo, Blair Castle, Burnham Market, Aachen, Luhmühlen, Bromont, Hartpury, Avenches, and Saumur.


Christian’s goal is to help to reduce accidents and falls as well as to give back his eventing experience to the community! “I´m very happy to officiate again in Kentucky this year and I´m very much looking forward to an exiting week of great sport with our beloved horses! I wish all of us a save week, fair sport and a lot of fun as well!“
