About Eileen Pritchard-Bryan

Eileen was born and raised in Maryland as a horse-crazy girl of non-horsey parents. As a teenager, she worked at a riding school in exchange for lessons and was introduced to Eventing in 1975.

Eileen has competed successfully in Eventing through the upper levels on horses that she developed herself. She, and her daughter Caitlin, have a small sport-horse breeding and raising program.

Eileen served as U.S. FEI Eventing Steward Genera and is currently an FEI Eventing Steward, Level 4, a USEF Eventing Technical Delegate, and Eventing Judge as well as a USEA Future and Young Event Horse Judge. Eileen was an Assistant Steward at 2010, 2014, and 2018 WEG. She was the FEI Eventing Chief Steward at the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima, Peru. In addition to the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event, Eileen has been the Chief Steward for the Maryland 5 Star at Fair Hill, Bromont Three-Day Event CCI, Jersey Fresh Three-Day Event & CCI, Plantation International CCI and +Carolina International among others.

Eileen lives in Maryland and has 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren. In her spare time, when she’s not officiating, developing her young horses, or doing some bookkeeping, she enjoys spoiling her grandkids and digging in the dirt.
