About Victoria Lewis

Victoria has competed internationally in both eventing and show jumping. She is a British Horse Society Level 5 Performance Coach and coaches riders across all levels, from grassroots to FEI 4*, and serves as a British Team Selector and Chef d ’Equipe for the Student European Equestrian Championships.



Victoria is a British Showjumping Judge and an FEI level 3 steward for Eventing and Level 2 Jumping. She has officiated at competitions in Europe, North America, and Africa, including Junior & Young Rider Europeans and World Equestrian Games. She is also an FEI Equine Anti-Doping and Controlled Medication (EADCM) Testing Technician and sits on British Eventing’s Disciplinary Panel.


Dr. Victoria Lewis works as a Senior Lecturer at Hartpury University, England, where she specializes in Equitation Science and equestrian sport performance. Her academic focus is on enhancing rider techniques to optimize the welfare and performance of sport horses. She has over 20 published articles in peer reviewed scientific journals and has presented at conferences worldwide. She is on the management team for the International Group for Equestrian Qualifications and the British Representative for the Equitation Education Network.
